What? That reporter just said God does not care about fat people? That he has better things to do? This is incorrect. I know people from this church these reporters sources are incorrect. This churh has never said that the internet is "satan's tool" they use the internet for many things. please look in to it for yourself of you don't like this church you may leave at any time you wish. Why let me or them the YOU about it why not with your own eyes and make your own opinion?

I agree with SerjTanKian20, check out the church and Weigh Down ministry for yourself. This video was very untrue. The other video testimonies speak for themselves.

This report is bogus , This woman Gwen Shamblin is doing a good thing I commend her, There is no down side here.

It absolutely is a cult. I used to be her #1 supporter but I learned the hard way that this woman doesn't give a rat's behind about me, she just wanted money and power. She is totally BOGUS.

so I want to know is this true as of SEPTEMBER 20 2011, did she change her ways yet?

@NCICOK Hey , I deny The Deity of Yeshua( his REAL Name , NOT The Anglicized Jesus or Christ ) and I`m Catholic ! Did you know The Modern Concept of Satan IS MOSTLY Church Propaganda NOWHERE TO BE FOUND IN The Bible ?!?!? `Course , The Bible`s full of shit , too !

Obesity is the #2 cause of preventable death in the United States. 60 million Americans, 20 years and older are obese and 9 million children and teens ages 6-19 are overweight. Gluttony is the worship of a created thing (food) instead of the Creator God. Originates with a greedy heart.
Gwen Shamblin's program has helped my daughter and myself. I don't know about her church, but, the program of Weigh Down is great. The Bible says: gluttony is a sin-it is killing oneself.

What a load of garbage. Gee it's not biased when you start the piece with Manson, Koresh and the rest. GREED (for food or anything else) IS IDOLATRY and is sinful. You are destroying your body. (Ephesians 5:5 and 1 Corinthians 3:17). If you are a TRUE Christian you give God your whole heart and your whole life. This is so much more than weight loss. It's a relationship with God. And look! They both admitted that it worked when they submitted to God but they're both fat and bitter. How telling.

ROTF! They are just cashing in on what makes MONEY for THEM. Obviously diet, exercise and looking trim is on a lot of peoples mind so they just cash in on what sells.
-
She denies the Trinity and the Deity of Christ! She is in satans army!
-
Just another cult!

I think she hates fat people
This is the most bogus news piece I have ever seen!!!! It sounds like this lady is just trying to help people based on all the other videos about her. There is so much ridiculous media in this country just to catch people's attention! Garbage, just lies and garbage.

@graukonig87 Gwen's teaching as "God's Laws" her own quirks on how to eat and how to think about food is religious terrorism, plain and simple. In a world of obese people wanting change in their lives, this is a detail that doesn't exactly get explained in all of the glowy videos, the shining faces of recruits, the God talk of the small groups .. Why are so many LEAVING RF if it's the "New Jerusalem."? It isn't garbage to a lot of them there, who are so trapped they dare NOT leave.

I work with someone who currently goes to Remnant Fellowship and has lost over 300 pounds. I havent had a lot of faith in the Lord lately but since I have come to know this woman my heart has been changed. Everyone has a choice you can eat all you want and weigh 500 pounds but you are the one who has to make the choice to overeat. Everything is a choice. Thats what you ignorant people fail to realize. Is it a sin to curse? You choose to do it. Is adultery a sin? You choose to do it. CHOICES

it's like I said. Praying to lose weight can help, but starving to avoid hellfire surely will do the trick. Problem is, there's nothing in the Bible teaching this. Gwen's twisting of the Bible continues to this day, teaching as "God's Laws" her own quirks on how to eat and how to think about food. And people "choose" to do it because they've been religiously terrorized into a frame of mind-control to plunge ahead and do it no matter the cost to them.

@TheLizzylou2 .. It's not just your heart that's going to change, it's your brain they're going to erase. Praying to lose weight can help, but starving to avoid hellfire surely will do the trick. There's nothing in the Bible teaching this. You and your friend are being pulled into a frame of mind-control to plunge ahead and do it no matter the cost to you - including freedom. What did Jesus say about losing your soul .. what was the rest of that verse?
