Wow....looks like fun! I wish I owned my own railroad....I would be out doing this kinda stuff all the time.

Nice loco! I am a brakeman and conductor for a railroad museum and I am in engineer's training right now too. Our loco is smaller than this but a pleasure to run. Nice video!

Awesome, So One Guy Owns All This? Also Is It Just For Fun Or Is There Like A Customer Down The Line Or Something?

@NARSConductor Yup he owns all this. It is for his own enjoyment, as an enthusiast would do, but he does give out rides at rail clubs, not sure if he collects money from them or not though.. Haha but no business opportunity

well it is an abandoned line from CPR I think, it took him quite a few thousand dollars to repair the line to code, and maintenance is a fair amount of work yearly... He works the line as a hobby

yeah, my dad, and granddad are both true railfans, back in the 80's my dad got to ride in the cab of a locomotive, but this is the only chance any of the 3 of us had to actually drive a locomotive. It is privately owned by another railfan, and as a special treat of a club meeting, tours were taken on the train, and you could drive it if you liked. Of course we said yes, it's a once in a lifetime experience if you're not an engineer.
