tomtom after sales support is a scam. i bought the device came with UK , EU, Canada & USA maps pre installed with two year free map update service.
later to learn free map update service only applies to EU maps only in a hidden small print.
why didn't put the wording within promotion text. ie. "2 year Free Map update for EU only"
tomtom is one of those companies who's intention is to rob customers hard earned cash.
Tomtom customer service is a complete shame

@lilbadboy114 connect your tomtom via USB and then Format it in "My Computer".
Just right-mouse-button on the Drive and Format...

apparently, my 720 isnt the only model TomTom that is having function issues. Hopefully everyone in the market for a GPS will see these videos and realize that sooner or later they will have problems with their GPS device if they choose to purchase a TOMTom. Not to mention their Tech support is a joke. All they could do for me was apologize! I will get them back for making my waste my hard earned cash on a piece of junk product that malfunctions seemingly to make us consumers go buy another one!

hi
try:
format all data on the tomtom. Now connect it to TomTom Home and it will update the Navcore to 8.351.
Possibly you will have to restart and reconnect your tomtom a several time till the latest navcore is installed.
now install the map. should work

Hi thnx...I did try everything even sent it to tomtom for repair...twice! and its gone for third time repair to specialist...so hopefully it will be sorted :-)
