I had a pretty good feeling if they reformed that Duvall would be the replacement. Duvall was playing the part of Layne on Jerry's solo tours long before. He's got guts to do what he's doing, and he does a good job. Of course I prefer Layne, but new AIC is better than no AIC.

AiC is the best band that ever lived, in my opinion. It sucks Layne passed, and now Mike Starr. BUT they're still going at it and kicking major ass. Black Gives Way to Blue is an amazing album! If you call yourself an AiC fan and refuse to listen to anything since Layne passed, you're just fucking ignorant. The sound hasn't changed, Duvall is really great, and it's still (and always will be) AiC all the way! <3

@Bear7923 Will hasn't ruined them at all. This is your personal feelings, not the majority. There are Layne only fans, then there are AIC fans...you can have the best of both worlds, you just gotta have your eyes and ears open first.

This isn't Alice in chains and I do think will tries to emulate Layne just watch his moves on stage and his stance with his foot up on the monitors. U aren't Layne and if aic wanted to go on then that's fine but do your own songs the ones that have been sang with Layne should be put to rest don't ruin them

Big props to William Duvall. He is a great singer, and the songs pretty much sound the same with his voice. To all the "haters", you have to remember that NO singer is ever going to fill the shoes of the original. I don't care what band it is. You could have the brilliant Eddie Vedder singing in Layne's place and it still wouldn't be the same. I miss Layne, but at least AIC has moved on and is still rocking. If they never got back together, then the same people would be shouting for a reunion.

It's so easy to diss a singer when all you are is a lazy ass schoolboy. When you start singing exactly like Layne Staley, you will have the right to diss DuVall. Until then, shut the fuck up!
