@HenrykBehr What is with people repeating he's a con? Seriously, why do you have to make up stuff to prove your point? None of the shit he preaches is proven and that's enough of a point. You don't even have to mention he's ignorant, let alone make up he's a con.
I am amazed by the disparaging comments on here .... sure the bloke is trying to sell his book there is no secret about that, so what have anyone else got to offer? I can tell you my thoughts, but if anyone thought I knew what I was talking about first I'd be healthy and then I'd have some experience getting others healthy and people would want to hear and read what I have to say ..... could he do any worse than current medicine?
Patrick Holford is a fraud and a con man - beware what this idiot has to say he has invested interests in the supplement industries and is only interested in one thing like all con men - profit - avoid this fool like the plague.
@antoconno even training at a casual level, me thinking of going vegan is about as optimistic as holding onto Jim Morrison's mail. I eat plenty healthy as it is, with meat, fish and eggs. These contain protein, which as we all know is essential to the formation of new tissues. Such as skin.
@antoconno Sorry to get really worked up over a point, but the idea of optimum health is bullshit. I train in weights, running, swimming and MMA, take a decent multivitamin and try maintain a diet rich in natural foods, such as nuts, lean meats, fish, fruit and vegetables. I also still get head-colds when they're going, have allergies to pollen and other irritants and have a dairy intolerance. Am I healthy? Yes. Am I "100%" healthy? No. Nobody is, since its an erroneous concept.
Well, I was making the point that Holford maintains his facts are based on what elite-level athletes do in both training, lifestyle and nutrition. The fact that he asked 60, 000 people doesn't inspire me with confidence. Basically, Patrick Holford is basing a book on information gathered from 60,000 members of the public on what they consider optimum health and then re-selling that back to the same, often misinformed, individuals, at significant profit. Utter madness.
"As one of 60,000 elite level athletes, who has "super health" and has completed an online questionnaire with total honesty, I can say with 100% honesty that everything Patrick is saying here is true!" If you can't detect the flaws in this, you need help.
