I last went to see susan at a holiday centre at southport around the late 80s and she looked great and sounded great - is she still around? - Thanks for posting!
Susan has a much more mature and refined voice compared to Marcie Blaine but she is out of character with the lyrics, even back in 1962.
Marcie Blaines voice sounds like the girl she needs to be to effectively deliver the adolescent sounding lyrics even though she claims not to be "a kid any-maw". Susan is just too much of a woman. (A real knockout though IMO!)
This is the first time I ever heard of Susan Maughan. She is wonderful! I'll have to search for more U.K. singers.
