A butterfly emerging from a Chrysalis. This was a caterpillar we found around our home. It is in real-time, not time-lapse.

Someone called it "plasma". It's kind of like amniotic fluid. You know, when a woman "breaks her water" before giving birth. Same thing.

Good touch with the Hallelua song. The plasma it was floating in must have been that brown stuff that seeped to the bottom at 1:58.

I'm sure it was.
My kids caught the caterpilar and kept the, fed them and cleaned up their little home. After the pupated and emerged, we let them go. This was my way to make sure the kids never forgot.
We had fun.
