the most insane character apearence-customization of all monthly mmo and the first korean mmo that have this much amount of apearence customization.

overall visual is beautiful. landscape have some up hill down hill unlike usual asian mmos with flat landscape but not as hardcore as GuildWars Factions..... up hill down hill deep high heights loopy loop. enviorment grounds still look like pavement like Lineage 2 in some area unlike Lord of the Rings Online, however there is spots that has nice detailed texture of flowers and stuff sticking out.

art style and design is great as usual asian mmos. character model is nice and sharp.

combat is like western mmo. melee auto attack is slow robotic pace... hit.. stop... hit stop... hit stop... like wow, war, lortro, eq2, vg. swing sword then stand still... swing sword then stand still while in most asian mmo it is realisitc pace.... hit hit hit hit example lineage 2, archlord, rappelz. the only western that has realisitc fast pace of auto attack is GuildWars. anyway Aion is like wow... mostly you use chain skill and just spam skill. youll do less auto attack in higher levels. its all about spamming skills. anyway its jus my personal perference about auto attack pace. if a mmo have slow robotic pace auto attack... then i rather have no auto attack at all... like ff11/city of villains.
edit: sometimes blade swings has consecutive multiple slashes but still the whole thing is more of wow's combat where it has pause of standing still unlike lineage 2's attacks.

class playstyle build seems short like lineage2. you cant put stats yourself for each lv up like silkroad. skill tree seems linear like l2. you use ingame money to get skill and eventually everybody will have same playstyle build since its no limit to obtain skills while silkroad/rohan has variety of play style players can custom their playstyle however they like. even archlord has custom playstyle..... cause there is limit to obtain skill... u get skill by sp and sp is limit... it also have lots of skill to choose from and which is strengthen it. silkroad/rohan/archlord skill tree is wide and curve and wiggles while l2 and aion is just straight up... play how the dev wants you to play the class.

sound of damage impact is great as usual asian mmos. sense of attacking is powerful feel unlike western mmos.

controls and movement is both WASD and PointNClick. both method sync very well together especially concidering it work together at the same time. its great for both people thats used to wasd and PointNClick.... everyones happy since both method works flawlessly! and i mean flawlessly! unlike other mmos where they tried to put wasd and PointNClick together but wasd and pointnclick conflict at one another . aion pull it off perfectly without conficting! their PointNClick feels just like a full fledge PointNClick game such as lineage2/silkroad/rappelz. while running you can easily hold right click to rotate camera so you can see your character's face.... in other mmo that tried to put wasd and pointnclick together cant manage to do that, when you rotate camera your character's body will always turn back on you.

i think it have auction house but player-store as well. player store is plain typical as usual like l2. silkroad got the best player-store..... which you setup store and it have your own chat-window for potential buyers to chit chat about bussiness.

im not planning to pay for aion but i do admire the graphics and insane amount of apearence customization.

aion is an old gen mmo especially toward western style such as wow, war, lotro. this is 2009, im through with those kind of taste.

i will happily pay for blade and soul and champions online.

thats all im saying as of my lv 1-7 experience. feel free to criticize my opinion if you play longer than i do.

@1337Figaro WoWs combat and qyuest systems have been outdated for years, as is the gameplay.

the only thing keeping it alive are the WoW fans who are too scared to say goodbye to their hard work to start a new game. WoW Is alive because of that and that alone. Graphics, gameplay, game animations, questing..

its all outdated and hell even blizard? is working on a new MMO to replace WoW...its a matter of time but its gunna die. its not the godly game everyone says it is...its grind nothing more.

@Idunhavanamez Ok maby i overreacted to how many players there are but im pretty sure people aren't playcing cus there aren't anything else at the moment... The game in this video is something else. I've tried loads of MMOs and if you ask me no game will ever beat WoW but ofc people have different taste in gaming.
