  • Using a old Optek shoulder strap, some 1 inch webbing, a hand full of plastic nylon tri glides etc and a "UNcle mikes" gun sling attachment i made a strap far better than the R-strap or the Carry speed. Takes me 5 mins flat to make and will take my weight

I use a Nikon AH4 base plate which like the "carry speed" idea works far better than the R-strap

The R-strap is far far too expensive

Mine cost me $15 all in and gets far more positive comments than friends R-straps

  • check CARRY SPEED brand name sling strap

which is made by a houston based company

personally I think their strap is better designed, and cheaper than R strap

I got it for $35 Free Shipping from eBay.

  • @FreakAlert2008 Your 'photographing'? You must mean: "photography'.

  • What if you don't want to use or can't use the tripod mount? Can you attach it to the regular eyelits on bodies? Specifically thinking those on the FM3a?

  • I got the RS-5 and after trying to make one on the cheap...I decided that hanging an expensive camera on a DIY strap just doesn't make any sense. Pay the money and get a quality product - I certainly do NOT regret it and, yes, it really works great.

  • RS-5 model will fit the iphone nicely.

  • It does.

  • This style of camera strap is great. I got the UK version, the Pap Strap. Better value for money and does the same job. I haven't taken it off my camera yet. Bought mine online from the website papstrap couk If you are in the US then I guess it's the rapid strap, but if you are in the UK definately the Pap Strap gets the thumbs up.

  • Here, in Canada, the strap is like 80$ with tax. Although I am tempted I don't think it's worth it; unless, it improves my photographing.

  • So I'm guessing you're review for it is a positive one!?
