Damn, now that's history. I wasn't even born in 1965.

Thank you so very much. If you would like a 2 DVD set of more movies and over 2000 jpg images shot in Korat in 1966-75 go to eBay and search for "Korat Thailand" and look for an item from "Fescan". Happy New year to you!!!

Great video and the music is damned near a perfect match. A long time resident, since 1986, now retired in Pattaya, wishes we were back in those simpler times. Pattaya is now supposed to have 450,000 people. 150,000 Thais, 150,000 Russkies, and 150,000 everything else. Far cry from the 10,000, 15,000 in peak season, in 1986. Thanks a bunch.

Wonderful pictures, but the music is crap! I'd rather hear fingernails on a chalkboard.

Her granddaughter is still here. Ban Chang, which is about 5 kilometers south of Utapao on the main highway is one of the fun spots, much the same as Pattaya.

Thank you for your comments, Bro. I wish you well in all you do.

Just a wonderful video. Spent 2 years at Ubon 67-69. Jealous of those who went back for a visit. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone with any interest, I suggest you check out the DVD on eBay. It is full of photos, memories and nostalgia. DVD works in England and I bought it recently. I can recommend it 100%. Listening to the music from those great Country and Western singers just brings tears to my eyes.
This is thoughtful, wonderful photography. Very little said, but the feeling of your intro is all over these old shots, plus a little melancholy. What happened to them, once pretty, then .... Life goes so fast!

Fes,
Just a quick note to say how much I enjoy your DVD. Bought one at the October 2005 reunion in BKK. Amazing how similar everything in Korat was to NKP where I was stationed. Wish I had shot more pics during my stay. Spent too much time enjoying my off hours in these types of establishments. Was back over in September of 2006, drove through Korat, Ubon, NKP and Udorn.

Les, if interested, check eBay for Korat Thailand. I have expanded the DVD to include DVD and a CD. There might be several there so be sure to check for item from fescan. I'll be in Vietnam sometime in Feb 2007. Thanks

I love this stuff!!
The natural beauty of it all.
It would be nice if there was some kind of series that shows how it had transpired from those years to present day.

You should see the movies I shot there too. I converted them to DVD, along with these slides and much more. I sell it for $5.00.
