In celebration of University Day, Carolina faculty participated in three academic panel discussions about UNC research and its impact. This discussion focuses on how research being done by faculty and students at Carolina is contributing to new technologies and innovations.

Sharing their insights on this panel are: Will Vizuete, associate professor in the Gillings School of Global Public Health, Cheryl Woods Giscombe, assistant professor in the School of Nursing and Zeynep Tufekci, assistant professor in School of Information and Library Science. The discussion is moderated by Kristen M. Swanson, dean of the School of Nursing.

The panel discussions are part of a series of events leading up to the installation of Carol L. Folt as the University's 11th chancellor on University Day, Oct. 12.
