http://www.1aauto.com/1A/BrakePadAndRotorKits/Chevy/Cavalier/1ABFS00008 1A Auto shows you how to repair, install, fix, change or replace your own worn, squeaky, fading old front brakes. This video is applicable to 1992-2005 Chevy Cavalier, Pontiac Sunbird and Pontiac Sunfire models. The procedure is basically the same for many front wheel drive front disc brake equipped vehicles.

  • Is it not necessary to suck some brake fluid out of the reservoir before you squeeze the pistons back into the calipers?

Thanks for making videos like this one. They're very helpful.

  • @calarooni As long as it's at the proper level and not over filled, you should be fine.

  • what is the tool called that is suppose to be used instead of the allen wrench?

  • @meria05 You may be referring to a torx bit.

  • @1aauto

What torx bits and hex bits are most common on vehicles now days ??

  • @brandon1997bmx It depends on the vehicle. It seems as though the hex ones are pretty popular, but I've also seen many star tipped ones used to hold various things together too.

  • Thank you all SO much for this video. That was AWESOME!! I know NOTHING about cars, and was able to do this with the help of this video! Thank you!!

  • @weepulization only time you bleed brakes is when you replace a brake line, a hose, or a caliper. or any part of brake system in which fluid escaped the system, on this type of job only thing you need to remember is when job is done pump up the pedal

  • i cant see what ur doing at 5:25!!! ahhhhhhh!!!

  • i only have a 10 mm allen wrench. can i force in on with a hammer? 3/8 in is equal to 9.5 mm

  • @1aauto thanks do you have any advice to loosening up the bolts on the caliper? My dad had tried so much and it didnt budge not one bit
