'Looks like the wind might beat it apart at higher speeds? Even at low speeds, those arms really whip over. That's a lot of leverage for the pivot point -- like pinching a finger in the pivot of a door. It doesn't take much movement of the door to do a lot of damage to the finger. -- Sterling

True, but this is a prototype and shows proof of principle. In a practical model I will incorporate measures against that, such as dashpots on the opening stroke of each airfoil. The dark cylinders at the top that each airfoil stops on are all dense foam and prevent damage and noise.
