hey man i like the video, its funny and somewhat informative. Ive been looking buy a new guitar, and i came across this one and have considered it. it has a V shaped neck right? is that annoying or wierd compared to the avarage C shape or D shape? thanks

@Coldretter the shape doesn't seem weird at all to me. I'm guessing you mean the shape around the back of the neck... if so I'd call it more D shaped. the fact that it's painted around the neck is the most awkward if anything... it can be a little tacky when shifting around

All of the electric guitars that I own are Fenders. I really like the necks on their guitars. I have a magnet reaction to sienna bust models. I like the look of the Dean Rebel guitar and am wondering if you could give me your opinion on the guitar. I am thinking that I would not fancy the painted neck. A finished Gibson Flying V neck feels like a 2X4 to me compared to an unfinished strat neck. I considered buying the Rebel but I honestly don't think i would be comfortable with it.

@bettieguitar yeah the painted back of the neck is somewhat tacky compared to a nice worn-in wood one. So if you play dragging your thumb along the rear of the neck it might be uncomfortable sliding--but I personally don't play like that so for me personally it's not really an issue. If I'm not mistaken, all the ML models from dean (or some) have painted necks as well... I'd go try one at a local shop if you're considering this guitar.
