This is far more akin to a mechanically correct swing- which is why he's so long and straight- rather than the modern swing, which is full of dangerous myths about arc and plain that damage the golfers body and impede consistency.
If you read the article of the description of the video you will discover why he have the over the top move,i will make a very short resume,he lacks flexibility.
He have the exact problem i have (i just lack flexibility in my hips but it kills my swing,i come over the top),the biggest problem for me is that im playing golf for 2 years only and ross all his life,so he have learned to control his deffects and i suck with my crazy slices and pulls xD.
@kevskigolf what ur saying is relatively correct. However, he swings only a couple of degrees on the inside and on his downswing he returns the club on a neutral path.
his swing is unusual for a top flight pro, coming over the top like that. still he is very straight and long, makes you wonder whats wrong with a bit of OTT. great performances in majors in 09. plenty of guys did this move in the old days

The hips get nice and deep on the way back and the legs clear thru impact brilliantly. However his grip appears quite weak.
