TOKYO — A worker at Japan's crippled nuclear plant died on Saturday of causes that appeared to be unrelated to radiation, the plant's operator said.
The operator, Tokyo Electric Power, said the contract worker in his 60s died after carrying heavy equipment in a waste disposal building of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. The company said he was wearing radiation protection clothing and a mask when he collapsed, and his body did not show high levels of radiation.
The waste disposal building has been used to store radiation-contaminated water taken from the plant's damaged reactor buildings.
Workers have struggled to bring the Daiichi plant under control since it lost power and cooling functions from the March 11 earthquake and ensuing tsunami. On Friday, Japan's National Police Agency said the death toll across the country from the quake and tsunami had officially pushed above 15,000.

That G.E. built peace of shit nuclear plant shouldn't have been built in the first place. Those workers know there on a Kamikaze mission to save the world. Sad, but noble, unlike are politicians and bankers in the U.S.
