USO-Metro and Two Top Mountain Adaptive Sports Foundation partner on wounded warrior therapeutic and adaptive ski program.
USO-Metro supports service members and their families who are recovering and receiving treatment at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, National Naval Medical Center, and Warrior Transition Units at Fort Meade, Fort Belvoir and the Hunter Holmes McGuire Richmond VAMC. USO-Metro supports these military heroes and their families through programs including celebrity handshake tours, emergency food and housing assistances, on-site concerts by well-known entertainers, excursions, as well as therapeutic and adaptive activities.
Two Top Mountain Adaptive Sports Foundation, a nonprofit based at Whitetail Resort in Mercersburg Pennsylvania, is one of the nation's newest adaptive sports programs for people with disabilities. This past year, Two Top Adaptive expanded its programming to include summer activities such as fly fishing, kayaking, cycling and golf.
