In an astonishing snub to the public, the LA City Council failed to muster a quorum and cancelled its meeting Tuesday. The top issue was the plan to dismantle the Community Redevelopment Agency and reorganize it as a non-profit to keep Gov. Jerry Brown from abolishing the CRA entirely to balance the state budget.

  • Council President Garcetti made a Freudian slip at 2:06 when he said "I don't believe that we should be wasting member's..." then changed to "the public's time."

This was the first time the largest City in California, Los Angeles, cancelled the meeting of its City Council after only 15 minutes of not having a quorum, despite the effort of those Council members such as Wesson offering to show up on short notice despite being excused.

This isn't a conspiracy, it was intentional.
