Yeah you can be detained by the police for up to 48 hrs without justification. These were holding pens for no more than 48 hrs. Thats it. Now go home and do something productive.

Police need Probable Cause to even stop you. If they're going to hold you, they need to charge you within 48 hours. If cops can just randomly put people in jail for no reason, that's fascism.

@TheDreadXxXx I don't mean any disrespect but, you really should thank this guy. The only way you would know about it if he wasn't doing what he is doing is, if you were unfortunate enough to end up there. Ask the thousands that were arrested in Toronto and held for days without charge then released. Men, women and children locked in cages with open toilets for excersizing their legal right to protest. You have to ask yourself, how can mass arrest be legal?

You know, I look at these officers, that are my age, and wonder what they think of the changes in freedom. I am sure that it must get to some of them. It's very easy to generalize but, a lot of these guys must be just as worried as the rest of us. I am sure they wives, children and grandchildren and must be at least a little concerned about what the future looks like.

There was no assault, he removed you from the premises, he could have arrested you for not obeying a lawful order from a peace officer, you were being uncooperative, and he was being nice about it, he let you continue filming when he could have made you stop.
