When a reporter tried to get a look at what was happening in the infamous "Gitmo on the Platte" secret detention facility in Denver during the DNC, cops there decided they were above the law. But it will take more than brute force to stop determined independent journalists...

  • it ended up being EXTREMELY cold. with indoor port-o-johns.

  • Do you have any experience on the inside of one of these places? If so, do you have any evidence - photographs, documentation - that could corroborate your story?

  • Yeah you can be detained by the police for up to 48 hrs without justification. These were holding pens for no more than 48 hrs. Thats it. Now go home and do something productive.

  • Police need Probable Cause to even stop you. If they're going to hold you, they need to charge you within 48 hours. If cops can just randomly put people in jail for no reason, that's fascism.

  • I agree the protesters should be In a pigsty, and fed slop. That facility is much too good for them.

  • @TheDreadXxXx I don't mean any disrespect but, you really should thank this guy. The only way you would know about it if he wasn't doing what he is doing is, if you were unfortunate enough to end up there. Ask the thousands that were arrested in Toronto and held for days without charge then released. Men, women and children locked in cages with open toilets for excersizing their legal right to protest. You have to ask yourself, how can mass arrest be legal?

  • You know, I look at these officers, that are my age, and wonder what they think of the changes in freedom. I am sure that it must get to some of them. It's very easy to generalize but, a lot of these guys must be just as worried as the rest of us. I am sure they wives, children and grandchildren and must be at least a little concerned about what the future looks like.

  • As soon as they say "DO you UNDERStAND. STand under is the key word. You don't answer or you say why do you ask. When you say you understand you putting yourself under their authority. They are making you an offer to stand under them.

  • they were well within their right to remove you from the property. you wernt sopose to be their, you brought all this upon youre self. find something better to do with youre self than walk around places youre not sapose to be.

  • heres some pictures of it

well it wont let add the video so search denver camp exposed

  • There was no assault, he removed you from the premises, he could have arrested you for not obeying a lawful order from a peace officer, you were being uncooperative, and he was being nice about it, he let you continue filming when he could have made you stop.

  • @trailertrashrnr I'm sorry, I guess I didn't see him inside the jail. The video was taken outside.

  • @haraguch1 Mind his own business? We have rights Mr. Haraguch1, and he is just excersizing them. Please go back to whatever communist/fascist country you came from. We have a right to know what is going on in public facilities and what, we as taxpayers are funding. :)

  • wow the amount of asshole pigfucker cops that have commented on here is stagering..... keep it up man your starting to hit a nerve!
