Vanity Fair's Christopher Hitchens discusses the recently released torture memos and the CIA with Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski and Sam Tanenhaus of The New York Times. MSNBC's Morning Joe (aired: 04/17/09).

Unlike so many proponents of waterboarding as not being torture, including Joe Scarborough, Christopher Hitchens found out for himself, submitting to a brutal waterboarding session in an effort to understand the human cost of Americas use of harsh tactics at Guantánamo and elsewhere. If you volunteer to be waterboarded then ITS NOT TORTURE.... If the pull teeth, fingernails, electrocute your testicles, burn you, beat you.... and so on is TORTURE. When dealing with EVIL people what do you want to do... treat them sweet? Don't be naive idiots this goes on and been for 4000 yrs. IT IS FAIR to psychologically and physically make them feel uncomfortable or discomfort. Hitchens is no CIA expert... what the F does a FORMER COMMUNIST (true story) know? Nothing.
