Newfound Jeremy Brett PBS Pledge Request

I offer another little nugget, found serendipitously on another old VHS tape! As the title says, it's a request for us to pledge our PBS stations, and I'm guessing it was filmed around 1992 or so. I'm not sure, but I think Jeremy may be wearing the same green sweater he wore in the one that happy lizard shared with us, the one he filmed while making Wisteria Lodge! XD Anyway, I hope you enjoy the man who kept on giving.

I want to thank everyone who has responded so kindly to this video. It's all about the wonderful man, Jeremy Brett. Please keep sifting through those old VHS tapes--maybe there are other surprises like this one still out there. I just feel privileged to have been its guardian. :)

@RichardElden He was suffering from congestive heart failure. It affects the breathing. But how masterful he is, even with that. When he points at the camera I almost want to back away. :)

For the 30th Anniversary of My Fair Lady, the movie was digitally remastered. Jeremy Brett introduced the remastered version ... does anyone have that introduction? If so, can it be uploaded here?

I've listened to the first part where he says "Hello, I'm Jeremy Brett" like 43 times now... and I'm... I just... I get the feeling he is alive again... I feel like crying... damnit Jeremy, look what you have done to me. I love this man so much.

@ClaraLamora He's asking Americans who watched his version of Sherlock Holmes (and other mystery programs) on their local public broadcasting system to finanically support that local station so they could continue to broadcast Sherlock and other shows.

I FINALLY had enough money to buy the entire Granada set on DVD and it was delivered just before the weekend. I've been swimming neck deep in Brett's Sherlock Holmes since then, no longer confined to the AVIs I downloaded off the internet. Viva Holmes! Viva Jeremy Brett!

Wow! I never saw this before, but I did donate to my local PBS station back then, and they sent me two lovely Mystery! mugs which I treasure. Jeremy sure was persuasive.

And how Poppy did you manage to listen to a Dessert Islands discs recording. I thought it was not possible to listen again to them. Can you post it up anywhere I would love to hear it
