Great you brought it back from the brink, like my old CCK he thought of scrapping it cause he wouldn't spend a few $-£ on i to get it right, almost a Crime in my Eyes.... most use 6Volt Coils you know, my CCK has says it on side, and many Onans- Generator have, may explain the popped coil?...they drop the 12v a bit to get a nice hot 'Winter' spark.

Oh I never let it run for long, it now has all the cowlings back on. Now I just need to find a new coil, while running it for some reason mine split itself open.
