  • Kevil your area is consodered lightly populated when this happens to NYC Boston etc where pop density is 10X this I wonder what is going to occur?

The cars blocking the intersection are doing so to prevent line cutting to the fuel.

Cars need to have places for fuel to be carried in natural disasters sadly the majority in line are PU rides that can hold cans of fuel they should've gotten fuel b4 storm.

  • @cdltpx - look at the evacuation of Houston in front of hurricane Rita as an example.

  • So far, I haven't seen anything as bad as my own Ike damaged home & town as of 20 min. in to this video!

  • I remember those days, 10 days, no power, no gas, all highways closed

  • When u were at the store with the store I think the bundle things were not to protect people from driving into it, because I work at wal mart and we put them there to stop Debre and the wind from shattering the glass. There was 7 of us including me, manager and other people from the finance office and wondering how we can protect this gigantic store lol I don't know how we did it

  • God I remember Ike... At

  • @ThisIsAreHouse

I was in southeast houston during Ike, and it is an adrenaline rush. I can remember wading through chest high flood water during the eye to clean the storm drains on our streets; the real rush came when the eye passed, and the storm *really* picked up. One thing I can tell you, taping windows does no good. If you cant board them up, nail blankets over them to minimize broken glass in the event they break. Thats the boat we were in. :-/

  • Holy shit man that is a nice smoaker. Ur a true Texan.

  • I live in Dallas and I wanna go live with my older brother on the coast. I wanna experience a hurricane for the excitment, fear, and. Adrenaline rush

  • oh god!

  • My goodness, how strong was the wind at 12:04? It sounded like some pretty good gusts were still coming in.

  • Great vid Kevin. I have watched most of this before in parts. Now the way u have put it together makes me really see what happened and how u must have felt. We do not have anything bad from nature where I live often. I am amazed how ppl in so many areas rebuild or relocate. Thanks for showing the real emotion. Puts a real feel to it. Good luck to yens this comming season.
