@smp156 Hendrix-bassist from Band of Gypsys, he also played Woodstock and the Cry of love tour from after the Band of Gypsys dissolution.
-
is this billy cox? hendrix-drummer? band of gypsies?
-
@TurtleRocker12 hendrix canceled a show because buddy guy was in town. buddy recalls hendrix sitting through his concerts recording. he was definetly influenced alot by buddy guy. you can see it buddy guy kinda lives on the hendrix experience. they both influenced each other.

@egoran181 what a tumbling, tumbling dill weed
to say that Jimi was strongly influenced by Buddy Guy is one of the biggest understatements in musical history
i wouldn't say who is better
they respected each other and would say the other one is better
but the point is that music isn't a contest and if we could only choose one guitarist to listen to that would make them a whole lot less special

The light reflecting off of Buddy's guitar mid-shred at 3:03. Priceless.
