Dick Skultin teams up with Tom Collins to play a tune that once was popular in every living room in America.
Everybody knows the famous bellows shake expert, Tom Collins but his friend, Dick Skultin is better known as a doctor. His service in the mental health field has been monumental.
Dick plays as a hobby and he plays well. He plays (as he always has) for free. You can find him performing at nursing homes around Hamilton, Montana.
That's especially impressive when you realize that Tom and Dick could just as easily be jet-setting with the wealthy and powerful any time they want. Frankly, they are just as happy with folks like you and me.
Tom, always the experienced entertainer, smiles all the time. But watch Dick. Like most of us on youtube, he is an amateur. One who likes to be good at everything he does. He works hard and succeeds.
Here in Western Montana, the many-talented Dick Skultin is also a member of the local Experimental Aircraft Association. He lives a life of service.
Perhaps the most compelling facet of this video is that cat that walks through the scene, mid tune. The cat proves that the best music is music in the home, music played by friends and neighbors. The clapping here is real. Nobody holds up a sign that says, "Applause." These guys earn their thanks, fair and square.
My one wish is that folks like you will share as much joy as people like Tom Collins and Dick Skultin have.
Thanks to my good friend, Bonnie Trotter, for helping shoot this remarkable video. She is the skilled lady who did the final edit.
