Here we are, plugging our way through the Monkees "BB&M" album. One of my favorites. Again, our apologies to the Monkees. Although, they're never gonna perform "Writing Wrongs", so why should we be sorry?

  • "...not sure why anyone would want to play "Writing Wrongs.""

    Surely you jest? It's a Monkee-Mike-Masterpiece!

  • Just amazing, sounds more like Davy Jones than Davy does!

  • You guys did a great job! This was one of the best albums by the Monkees!!!!!! Very far out and psychedelic!! Nesmith is a genius!!!!!!!!!

  • was this song on an advert about 7 years ago ? ages ago? doubt anyone will remebr but the birds and bees song was on some advert i think it mayb dairlyea? anyone ermember???

  • you guys got me thinking about this album again! I love the songs-hate the album... Poorly mixed... everything is compressed right to the level of distortion... the guitar string noise and vocals are at the same level with everything else in the mix! gotta pull out my old COS and see if it was originally like that or if Arista/Rhino botched it along the way.

  • Yeah yeah! Great idea! Please do "Right Now" -I love that song :P

  • You know, after watching this I kept on thinking how cool it would've been if The Monkees continued on as a full band like Peter wanted after Headquarters and they if did this album acoustically. Would've been great!

I'd like to see you guys do "Right Now" from DJBH!

    Cool Stuff!!

  • sweet jesus christmas, i thought you were using davey jones vocals from a tape or something, uncanny...

  • When I was a kid, I listened exclusively to the Beatles and the Monkees. So I had nothing else to learn on guitar but their music. So I learned every song of theirs that I could. Sad but true. I can't speak for Joe tho'.

  • The intro to "Tapioca Tundra" was dead on perfect! I'm not sure why anyone would want to play "Writing Wrongs." I'm guessing you guys learned the chords just so you could make the medley.
