Recorded live in Boston in 2010. This song is a tribute to Troy Davis who is set to be executed by the state of Georgia on September 21st for a crime he may not have committed. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear his final appeal earlier this year. But the story remains the same -- Troy Davis could very well be innocent.
Davis was convicted on the basis of witness testimony -- seven of the nine original witnesses have since recanted or changed their testimony. Troy has survived three previous execution dates, because people like you kept the justice system in check! Im in a band And I did a show the day after his excecution and We dropped down the usa flag and wrote rip troy davis it was one of the coolest things we ever did

It's not that Troy could have been innocent. It's that Troy Davis was innocent. You're innocent until proven guilty and Troy Davis was never legitimately proven guilty. His execution is a legal lynching.
