Way to go kill a perfectly good sound track with special effects flying left and right. Chemical Plant Zone was incredible in original form. Also, 3D is nice but it 2D beats it... in many ways.

The sonic adventure games had it right until they started added in all the extra bullshit. No i do not wanna play some obese cat and go fishing, no i don't wanna go treasure hunting with 2 different characters. I wanna play sonic or shadow and run through the huge worlds as fast as i can while finding different paths on replay.

@Zeppelinpuppy It's not 2D, it's 3D but just restricted from moving in depth-space, mostly because it's side-scrolling platform style anyway

2D is awesome, looks gorgeous. I don't know why SEGA doesn't think 2D can be good enough these days. Limbo, The Dishwasher, Mortal Kombat 9 to name a few are modern games and proof that sometimes is best to keep it in 2D. Sonic is not fun to play in 3D in my opinion.
