hey man, i was in ur position bout 2 years ago. To answer ur question about switching to bass, its pretty simple theory wise because it's all basically the same with the scale form etc. But the hardest part is getting certain techniques down like the slap and pop which u cant do on a regular guitar. Give it a shot though, if ur gunna play rock, than ya, it'll b an easy change but for funk it'll use sum work. Good luck to u!
