  • Come on people. Let's have a little ripple of applause for Stéphane Grappelli too.

  • Yup! Notice how I didn't call the clip "Django." I love Django's rhythms while Grappelli solos. Great stuff!

  • fair play those guys are fucking badass at the start. Would anyone care to recommend a good CD of music by this band ? =)

  • MEKON17, get all the Quintette of the Hot Club of France stuff with both Django and Grappelli. The stuff is hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's all good. I'm a musician myself & have gone the last 36hrs w/o sleep due to booking for my next couple of tours. I wasn't trying to come off pissy or anything but I guess I did & apologize for that. I just think that metal guitarists in general are highly over rated. Especially when compared to Django, Les Paul & the like. I started on metal & thought I was pretty good to rip Randy Rhodes & Van Halen solos as a teen but I had no idea. Still dig metal but this is where it's at. :-)

  • Wow! Thanks for posting this. Great stuff. And we can see that Reinhardt did indeed use only the 2 fingers. I am in awe.

  • @andrewldexter lol I tried improving along but when I got to 2:53 I just set the guitar down and walked away.

  • This was after the fire. He does this with two fingers

  • I just cant get enough of this fuckin awesome Django Rules Over and Out...

  • When I heard the scale at 2:53 I shat bricks.

  • @jamesabilly thats how it starts though you wanna shred til your fingers bleed then you hear jazz and your idea of being good at guitar comes crashing down on you, and you realise jazz is a style that makes you good at your instrument

  • jboyshyne thanks great to be able to hear great music

  • @jamesabilly WOW you don't like metal?

    ...that's controversial

  • @kenvorland It's "J'attendrai", it means "I will wait" in french.

  • whats the name of the tune?
