  • But ya know, who are you telling this to? People who get it already know. People who don't aren't going to be told. Life is a function of the normal distribution of intelligence. Some are idiots. Most are able to show up for work every day. A few are above average. The average aint high enough to make enough people educable. You can't preach, you can only manipulate.

  • @ion010101 I definitely believe in the 'average' grey area in between the two extremes. It's not the black hole you make it out to be.

How is manipulation of the masses by an elite few different to the present system?

  • Damn, man, this is gooood! Who is the narrator? Is the text read comprised of extraits from the Society of the Spectacle only? Great job, the animation is something. Thanks for sharing!

  • @miguelgr11 Thanks man. The artist is the narrator. :)

I'm really glad so many people are enjoying this. The script uses words of Guy Debord, as well as some quotes from McLuhan and Berger from the 60's to beautifully describe our difficult-to-understand world of today. May the WORD and the passion live on! ;)

  • You need to own a home. You don't really own it, the bank does. To pay the bank, you need to kiss your bosses arse. You need to get to college. Both parents need to work. You need longer school days...

  • @ion010101 ditto :)

  • @Azorek79 People believe what they want to believe. People do what they do because they perceive it to be fashionable. Take homeschooling. The primary way people are enslaved is via forced schooling. As the pop. of hs'ers grows, one year it will actually look fashionable, and that is when everyone else will begin raising their own kids - not b/c they "get it", but b/c it became fashionable. When most ppl do the right thing, they're pulling a Homer. Indeed, so many hs'ers do so for dumb reasons!

  • Thanks for watching.

Glad to hear you've enjoyed it! :)

  • Very, very impressive. Debord would be applauding with me.

  • Always nice to find someone with similar interests.

Eco is definitely a meaty subject for an animation... :)

    Thanks for watching.

PS. You know that there is a second part to this video, right?
