DC EP is the third recording in a series of six that John Frusciante released from June 2004 to February 2005. Ian MacKaye of Fugazi produced the album. Guy Picciotto, also of Fugazi, lent Frusciante his Marshall amplifier to track the guitars and his Gibson Les Paul Junior guitar for the solo in "Dissolve".

Back listening to dcep again after maybe 5 years, john seems to get better and better...i seem to carry on getting lower but never stop listening to his music. Makes me feel i'm not aqlone.

DC EP ( and all John's albums,but mostly DC EP) helped me thru some hard times in my life... and i still,everyday i come home late night after work and college i play one of Johns albums. Thanks john, for giving us inner peace
