"redish color indicates rust" not always the case, Wheel bearing grease comes in a number of colors red being one of them (normaly synthetic).

Only point he got wrong is saying to get all the air out, you don't want that much grease otherwise it can overheat, the grease liquidfies and runs out past the seal, then your left with no grease, overfilling a bearing is just as bad as no grease. and i've been doing bearing maintenance for 35 years.

Good consept on how to repack bearings should have mentioned about how to reinstall the race`s KEEP THE SLOPE OF THE RACE THAT THE BEARING SITS IN ALWAYS OUTWARDS BOTH SIDES ; TAP IN WITH DRIFT PUNCH ( CIRCULAR HITS ) UNTIL A SOLID FEEL OR RING IS DISCOVERED THE INSIDE BEARING SEAL IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL HOLD THE BEARING IN THE HUB WHEN INSTALLING.

Trick for installing new races. Cut 1/16 slot in old race with a dremel disc cutter. Use the race with the slot to tap in the new race. The slot will allow you to remove the tapper easily and you get a good seat to the bottom of the race housing. USE GOGGLES OR EYE PROTECTION WHEN USING THE DREMEL.
