@WarLord hi, this is 'blitz' chess. It's fast compared to classical. The players have only a few minutes to make ALL their moves so must move very quickly to avoid losing on time. It's exciting b/c they are therefore more likely to blunder or not play as accurately as they would if they had longer to consider the position

The numbers and letters allow the commentators to easily identify which squares the pieces have moved to making it easier for the viewer to understand. Best wishes!
