Mikoyan Gurevich MiG-35 Super Fulcrum - Russian Air Force

The Mikoyan MiG-35 (Russian: Микоян МиГ-35, NATO reporting name "Fulcrum-F") is a mature development of the MiG-29M/M2 and MiG-29K/KUB technology. Classified as a 4.5 generation fighter aircraft, the only existing prototype is the third modification of the existing MiG-29M2 airframe which previously served as MiG-29M2 model demonstrator. The MiG-35 is now classed as a medium-weight aircraft because its maximum take-off weight has increased by 30 percent which exceeds its previous criteria of classification.

The MiG-35 was officially unveiled when the Russian Minister of Defence, Sergey Ivanov, visited Lukhovitsky Machine Building Plant "MAPO-MIG".[2] Its vastly improved avionics and weapon systems, notably the new AESA radar and the uniquely designed Optical Locator System (OLS), relieves the aircraft from relying on ground-controlled interception (GCI) systems and enables it to conduct independent multi-role missions.

The aircraft is being marketed under the designation MiG-35 (single seat) and MiG-35D (dual-seat) for export. MiG Corporation had their first official international MiG-35 presentation during Aero India 2007.

Nope, the dual tail fin planes are not a copy of the F-15. I am an American and I love Russian Aircraft. There just so happens to be a pilot that owns a Mig - 21 who flies at I think Andrews Air Force Base. It's a really reliable aircraft. Also, who cares about who did what first. Russia put the first orbital satelite up in space known as Sputnik. The who did it first is all kiddies games. I think It's time for Russian and America to make peace.

F15T->F15SG. The foxbat was not capable of maneuvering anyway, so it should not be compared with jet fighters. It is redlined at Mach 2.6 anyway so it is not really faster than the F-15(M2.5).

Actually, the F15E is the best exportable jet fighter aircraft, the F-15T being the most advanced version.

@mikeplay007 I was saying, that the F-15 was NOT a copy of the Mig-25. The F-15 was designed to counter the perceived threat posed by the Mig-25. Western analyists thought that the Mig-25 was designed for the Air superiority role. It turns out that it was an interceptor. Why don't you read comments before you respond to them. My comment was sarcastic and directed at someone who said that the Mig-25 was a copy of the F-15.

dont reply by saying mig35 av 3d t-vectoring systems so its number 1 in dogfights,well mates,theres a reason why the f35 n eurofighter doesnt av t-vectoring system install,its bcoz both jets av jhmcs n are armed wit high off-boresight capable air to air missiles like aim-9x,asraam n iris-t,wit this systems t-vectoring jets arnt a problem anymore,india did a smart thing by going wit western jets in its mrca competition.

weak engine n shit avionics this jet av,dont believe me,ask the indians,india mrca program av now only 2 jets left,that is rafale n eurofighter,mig35 n other jets av been dropped from the mrca competition,mig35 was label as having a weak engine n shit avionics,indians say they will buy it n upgrade its avionics wit israeli avionics,guess what,the russians didnt like it so they push the price up,when do the russian know that combat jet is not about maneuverability anymore.

This aircraft looks remarkable beautiful, mainly because it looks more western than it does Russian.
