God of war 3 demo glitches package!!

Points of Interest:
1. At the start of the demo where the 1st harpy is, you can throw an undead enemy and screw up its AI. It wont fly away like it normally does after that. Could possibly be useful for a speed run. You skip the cutscene of it flying away and then flying back. Although, you can skip the gap without the use of this harpy anyway.

2. At the 1st harpy: Footage of a crawling undead unloading just as Kratos is about to "O" stomp it. Kratos just breaks out as it vanishes.

3. In the cave where you encounter the 2 harpies: There is a piece of walkable collision right next to "death collision". But if you do the downwards Cestus strike on the "death collision" Kratos NEVER dies. He just gets stuck in mid air in a contorted position with his Cestus glowing, and you can only rotate him slowly. Blade attack act like in GoWII while on the death collision.

4. If you do the skip in the cave and jump to the Centaur battle arena. And if you then trigger the soldiers followed by injuring them until they start to crawl. You can then create this strange situation where some of the crawling undead actually stand up again...but without legs! They are 100% passive in this state.

5. Fighting the Centaur: Just a displaced mini-game "deflect" of the Centaurs attack with Kratos standing in mid air.

6. Again, some (longer) footage of Kratos doing ledge walking while having his Cestus on. (Normally this never happens).

7. At the Cyclopii battle: The "wondering soldier" gets hit and starts to move around in slow motion. He then "slides" over to protect Helios thinking that he's at the start of the battle "protecting" Helios. From there he is almost invincible...but not quite.

8. Footage of Kratos rolling while wearing the Cestus. (This is as unusual as rolling while holding the Barbarian Hammer in GoWII)

9. It seems that when the demo was released, the GoWIII Demo testers had not yet tried to see what happens when you use Helios' head on undead soldiers when they are in their "crawling state", because they behave very oddly! They freeze and slide around in a creepy way. You can move them about while helios' light is shining on them. At times the screen shakes unbearably. (Not on the vid).

10. Some more Chimera/Ballista breakout glitches! Similar to my other Chimera vid, I wanted to explore a few combinations you can do, some of which are:

(a) After you R1 the ballista for the first time, and make an undead crawler hit you, you break out of R1ing the ballista. You can then make Chimera fall out of bounds. On restart, the ballista R1 functions like it does when Kratos first gets to it, you can then R1 the Ballista at any stage of the fight and make Chimera fall out-of-bounds in any directions. (Note Perses' arm goes through Chimera when he tried to grab Helios)

(b) On restart, if you R1 the ballista just as the Chimera hits you, you breakout again of R1ing the ballista again during the battle. Chimera starts its "sneak-up-on-you" animation, but since you are free from the ballista you can do whatever you want. On this occasion I waited till the Chimera did its "sneak" animation, ran out of bounds then growls, I then R1 the Ballista again causing the Chimera to do its animation all over again. Causing it to head in the direction of the cyclops battle.

(c) If you R1 the ballista (after glitched restart) just as the Chimera sprays venom at Kratos. Chimera starts its "sneak", but this time you get to see what it looks like from front on. (You can then R1 ballista agina to cause Chimera to start its "sneak" animation all over again.)

11. At the Chimera under normal conditions: If you R1 the Ballista repeatedly/quickly, the repeatedly Chimera does a funny hillbilly footstop.

12. At the Chimera for the first time with a crawling undead near the ballista:

This glitch looks similar to the other Chimera out-of-bounds glitches. But it is different in that you can infinitely R1 the Ballista for the first time, because the crawling undead keeps breaking you out from the ballista. So you can repeatedly R1 the ballista making the Chimera do its "sneak" animation forever!

If you were skilled enough, you could make the Chimera travel ALL the way to Perses and beyond!
(But this is tricky because once Kratos is out of screen, the controls work in reverse and that pesky undead crawler wont stop hitting you.)

13. At the very end of the vid:

Once you make Chimera fall out of bounds, and then run towards the area where Chimera first appears. Do an Icarus Ascension and it looks like Kratos goes flying up high into the sky like superman. Either that, or you are seeing the Chimeras point-of-view as he falls under the arena.

  • You really found a miraculous amount of glitches from this demo...

  • @AKheon I had sorta forgotten most of the glitches from this demo after playing the actual game so much, I do remember there was a heap.

I recently rented Dragon's Age 2, AC:Brotherhood, Arkam Asylum, Bayonetta...but (like most games) I just couldn't get into them.

  • A man thank you! I sincerely had never laughed! just super! XD

  • Glad it made you laugh XD

  • Too many glitches for me :)

How do you find so much of them?

This is insane. I would like to repair some of this glitches, because there is too much of them. But in full version I think they will repair most of them.

  • Thats true. I think that the real game wont be this glitchy, this is just a demo "work in progress" after all.

~Not that I wont try my best to glitch things up when the real one comes out!

I tried out the Dragon Age 2 demo, seemed quite interesting. But it's not the type of game I'd try actively glitching. Bayonetta is by Capcom, and like the Devil May Cry-serie, it's so thoroughly playtested that there are hardly any glitches. Arkham Asulym I might try out at some point.

  • i got god of war 3 for christmas an i finished it the end is werd

  • great!

  • holy fuck @ 0.25 "disintagrating stomp"

    hyper flight @ 3:59 awesome

  • Does anyone else have all action or hack 'n' slash games momentarily stop on them whenever they hit something? I've seen it in this and Genji. Weirdly, it seems to be based on damage dealt: the Cestus stop the game for longer than the Blades.

  • Starting at 2:45 the chimera is dancing to the beat!
