  • No more qualified to run a country than a street crook!? I hope that's meant to be hyperbolic.

I agree that many are making a personality cult out of Obama, but you should realize that Hitchens supported Obama in the election, found him to be far more competent than a McCain/Palin ticket, and supports his general policy towards Pakistan and the Taliban. I voted for Obama because I found him to be more competent than a ticket that coupled senility with religous stupidity of the lowest caliber.

  • that "conference table" looks like a hot tub.

  • @Melvin6566842 I agree on your points as well.

  • @anikinippon it was filmed after Obama was elected. I agree with reasonableHUMAN: making a person into some kind of superhuman is wrong, even though idolisation is part of American political culture. This was Hitchens point I believe. And it's not just Obama, see how Republicans worship Reagan and have build a cult around him to keep people from questioning his integrity and his policies even though this would be the natural and obvious thing to do.

  • @reasonableHUMAN I believe this was filmed before he changed his mind, when he was openly saying that Sarah Palin couldn't be taken seriously.

Because the outraged and ignorant voice of the many does not bestow an obligation on the few who are within their rights.

And because it wouldn't shut them up anyways. And indeed, didn't.

  • Americans seems to mistrust the wrong people

  • thought the table was a big hat.

  • @instereovideos Totally! They probably take the cover off and climb in after the show.

I think everyone would be fine if everyone of all race and religions, can walk the streets in Islamic countries without the threat of being blown up by some idiot. You know? the same way you get to do you're shopping on the weekend without looking over you're shoulder for a bomb. I am guessing you live a free peaceful life in the west do you not?

  • I'm sorry, but I'm atheist and don't practice your religion. Ask your pastor.
