Former pro boxer and veteran mixed martial artist Erin "Steel" Toughill made her long-awaited return to MMA on Saturday night in Oklahoma, but things did not go according to plan. Toughill was upset by one-time bantamweight Ashley "Loca" Sanchez in the main event of Freestyle Cage Fighting 46.

  • ...trying figure out how to keep the illusion going. Sure Erin was a bad-ass fighter back when women's MMA was a just a bunch of un-athletic one dimensional weekend warriors who didn't train MMA seriously, but now they are top athletes who train for hours every day and keep in top shape with impressive skill-sets and are more well rounded than ever before. Womens MMA has outgrown Erin and it's time for her to sit down, shut the hell up and go away for good this time!!

  • What I have to say is, Ashley Sanchez just exposed and retired Erin Toughill. Her career is ver. Erin hasn't fought in 2 years and nobody meaningful in over 6 years and and then in one of the worst fights I've seen in a long time loses to a 1-2 fighter who any decent fighter with a pulse would have demolished. Now we know why Erin has spent the last 2 years pulling out of fights with questionable injuries, phony contract disputes, silly retirement announcements and...(con't)

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............

  • WOW eff that noise between rounds there.

  • the only thing that kept me from dozing off was that loud ass crap music between rds.

  • @ufcfighter100000 I'm not taking anything away from Toughill or any other woman in the sport of fighting...they all made great strides and have taken the sport to another level. Now about the possible match-up between Cyborg and Toughill...my money was on Cyborg...she's an absolute beast in the cage, and Toughill looked like she needed more physical training to even consider getting into the cage. But in light of the recent steroid scandal involving Cyborg..it has changed my opinion drastically

  • holy crap. imagine actually paying to go to an event and getting this as the main event? what a horrible piece of shit fight.

  • Erin Toughill you beaut!

  • @soulofthebang I think we are both right because when that hunger kind of fades it affects your fighting style and the way she looked in this video was awful but I'm glad she represented womens MMA for so long. Maybe being humble was the problem though. We've watched MMA long enough to know a little controversy will get you to the front of the line. I had a friend who doesn't even watch the sport tell me to watch Ronda Rousey. It's messed up but true.

  • @versatility357 Toughill isn't as Hungry and Intense as she used to be. It's not her fighting style problem against Santos or any other Woman Fighter, she has a Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu, so she can Ground Fight and not just Box. She been Very Humble being in Game long enough to see the Women MMA Grow. The Current Female MMA Fighters are Barking,Toughill isn't Barking as loud. She should Retire.

  • Erin deserved to lose. She barely engaged in the fight and she was mostly static. If Ashley stopped using the flashy TKD kicks and used the bare basics, she could have KOed Erin. That's how bad Erin fought in this fight. And she had the nerve to say that she's "hardly scared" of Cris Cyborg. Looking like that, it would be more of a mercy kill than a competitive fight on Cyborg's end.
