This is early game footage from the cancelled Flash video game. When our publisher Brash folded we were about 6 months into full production with about a year still to go on the game so please excuse the roughness of how it looks at this stage. A lot of the core elements were just starting to surface and we were all really saddened that the game couldn't be saved. It was showing much potential. As such we just wanted to share a sample of what the game could have been like. Enjoy!

  • I am a little curious about the speed of the combat. Does all of it take place in slow motion? If it takes place in real time, wont it get too fast to follow?

  • @aashishvasu

This video shows some good portions of combat. The gist of it is that the player could assign a button prompt over an enemy (if you ever played Mark of Kri or Rise of the Kasai we were using the same system). Pressing that button had the Flash dash to the opponent (essentially almost teleporting to him because he moved so fast) and then you could unload a flurry of attacks on them. Pressing buttons allowed you to quickly bounce between opponents.

  • were can u find this game for PS2

  • @TheJanorris

You can't. it was being built for the 360 and PS3 when production was stopped.

  • Well a Flash game can't be bad! I just want to run fucking fast

  • @Chin3seDragon

Multiple reasons why Flash at this point in development was not faster

    1) Streaming was still not optimized and at a certain speed Flash was actually outrunning the loading of assets.

    2) We also found that once you hit a certain speed or above, he became impossible to control. The player could not respond fast enough to turn or stop or do whatever he had to do and would constantly crash. Crashing is not fun.

    3) We were only 6 months into development.

  • @misterbigmouth if it was like that, it would have been EPIC! i loved the mark of kri!!!!

  • @Theninjasarecoming ehhhh actually, I dunno after watching, it did look pretty awesome, I just kinda think stage-by-stage might have helped the flow? I dunno, you guys clearly knew what you were doing, it looks awesome

  • This actually looks a shit-ton better than the Green Lantern game ended up being O.o though I dunno if Sandbox was the best venue for it, doesn't work for every game.

  • theey should at least make a flash game like this for iOS devices

  • I would have totally played this

  • The potential, IS TOO DAMN HIGH!!!!!!!

  • @misterbigmouth Thats so gay. This could've been epic since dc is not even making any flash games but they make stupid green lantern >_>

  • @swifti1001

Our publisher, Brash, went out of business. Since they were paying us to make the game for them, there was no more income. We tried to shop the game around to other publishers but we couldn't keep our doors open long enough to land anyone else and we had to close up shop ourselves.

  • That's a shame a good game and talent lost
