This is early game footage from the cancelled Flash video game. When our publisher Brash folded we were about 6 months into full production with about a year still to go on the game so please excuse the roughness of how it looks at this stage. A lot of the core elements were just starting to surface and we were all really saddened that the game couldn't be saved. It was showing much potential. As such we just wanted to share a sample of what the game could have been like. Enjoy!

I'm sure some day DC will make a Flash game, but I don't see any way this version will ever see the light of day. It's been over 4 years since BottleRocket closed down and the people that worked on it have scattered to the wind. I suppose there is always a slim chance that DC could contact my former boss and he might be able to wrangle a handful of us together again. I'd really still like to make this game some day but I'm not betting money on it.

You can't. We never got the game to a point where we had a stand alone version. It had to be run through our dev kits only. And the only version of the game was located on BottleRocket machines and those got liquidated to pay creditors when we closed down.

We were only 6 months into production and his speed would have improved. It still would have had limitations though because A) players still needed to control Flash and we found at really high speeds it was pretty much impossible to do since you weren't running on rails like Sonic and B) since we had two very large cities and we were trying to avoid load screens every thing had to stream in and we had to make sure Flash couldn't out run the loading of assets which at this point he was.

If DC ever make a Flash game they should go with freeflow combat system like in Batman Arkham games

Wow, that looked like a winner of a game. I'm sorry it got cancelled. I used to read flash between the mid 70 through the early 80s. Fun stuff.

The only way for this game to work is if it had other characters to play as and not called The Flash Game.
