Dave Wetzel of Decatur Illinois was instrumental in changing the taxation laws pertaining to the use of straight vegetable oil as a fuel in his home state. Golden Fuel Systems had a chance to meet up with Dave at an alternative energy fair in Columbia Missouri. Several other states such as Arkansas, North Carolina, Illinois, New Mexico and Rhode Island have changed their laws in favor of S.V.O. as a fuel as well. Hopefully this is a trend that we will start to see around the rest of the country.

Although S.V.O. has had laws specifically exempting it as a fuel in these states, it does not automatically make it Illegal in states that do not have such laws.
