On Tuesday evening, Dec. 1, 2009, a spirited antiwar rally was held in front of the the White House, led by activists from the ANSWER Coalition, Code Pink, and other Peace and Justice groups. Its purpose was to object to President Barack Obamas reckless decision, (shades of LBJs disastrous Vietnam fiasco), "to expand the war in Afghanistan." I talked with Brian Becker, National Coordinator of the ANSWER Coalition, who shared his views with me about this situation and the plans for future antiwar events. For background on this demonstration, and the nationwide rallies, see: http://answer.pephost.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ANS_homepage

  • Vietnam was an easier war to win and The US lost 55, 000 there and then got out after 10 years. 55,000 lives lost. These 2 wars are not even close to Vietnam. The 2 countries are bigger and stronger than Vietnam. They Afghans and Iraqs are just doing what Americans would be doing if we were invaded and told how to live and what kind of government we should have. BRING THEM ALL HOME NOW.
