@Winduct because it's not about how pretty the clothes are, it's about how well they serve the film. Milk's costume design complimented the cinematography and transported the viewer to a specific milieu.

What's so special about Milk? They are only costumes you wear at work. Shouldn't have been nominated. Neither Revolutionary Road. The Duchess deserved it.
