Great sketch, blown by the fact that he thought the caller talking about grandma had got it right. He should have been mad with that caller for not talking about *cooking*.

Because they were supposed to call in about cooking when they were WATCHING the show about the elderly, not when it was being taped.

You see, this is a sketch about a pre-taped call-in show.

This is one of the best comedy sketches ever made. It's a damn shame the show only ran 4 seasons.

i get it. I SAID that they were supposed to call in about cooking. He hung up on the other people because they didn't call in about cooking, why didn't he hang up when they called in about their grandma (elderly theme)

No, no, they WERE supposed to be taking calls about the elderly in that show. The people watching this episode at the time of airing should be calling in about cooking, but it wouldn't be aired it would be recorded for the following week's broadcast which IS about cooking.
Yikes, this thing is difficult to discuss without getting REALLY confused! Lol.
