What you need to keep in mind is that what WE are seeing is not the same as what the people in universe are seeing on their TV sets. They are watching a show about pet care. They are watching a show about pet care, but are being told to call in to talk about the elderly.

If they were watching what we're watching, they'd supposed to be calling about cooking.

all you real Mr. Show fans should help push for a Blu-Ray re-release of the series.

A. It would look much better than the current DVD's

B. The Set would only be 3 discs, half the current amount

C. It can give the cast a chance to add new stuff, like extras or added commentary, since the set was released almost 10 years ago

let's say the series premiere of the show is January 8th and the topic is pets and next week the topic is the elderly. On 1/15, you would call in to talk about your pets, 1/22, to talk about the elderly, get the drift?
