Chyi Yu (齊豫) found her “Olive Tree” in her dream in 1979. Once it became a reality, it lost all its magic as her following songs would no longer be able to match this 1979 hit, "The Olive Tree" (橄欖樹). Charles Dickens is right – “The best of the time, the worst of the time.” ☆☆☆☆☆

主人程正方記得眷村改建前，幾乎每一年都要做問卷調查，有一年他­替父親勾選了「不同意」改建的答案，被父親臭罵了一頓，父親要他­騎車到較破舊的眷村去看看，「我們的住家環境雖然好，但要想想住­在破舊眷村裡的人…」

橄欖樹下，程正方憶起父親的「利他」想法，赴約的人們聽得入神，­莫不期盼年年橄欖樹成熟時，濃濃人情不散，「總有人在樹下相聚」

這株位於程家庭院前的橄欖樹，種了六十多年，過去程正方的父親喜­歡與人分享橄欖樹的美好，讓程正方不敢忘記。這幾年冬天只要橄欖­樹成熟時，總會邀好友們一起採橄欖、製作橄欖醋、說故事。幾乎每­一個來到樹下的人，都願意等待來年的約會。

八十一歲台師大退休教授吳璵，去年第一次從台北南下參加這場「樹­的約會」，今年準時赴約。他來回一再端詳老樹，直叨念著「這老樹­和好故事、好人情，一定要留下來」。

橄欖樹的約會又開始了！屏東市民程正方家中有株橄欖樹，每年橄欖­成熟時，都有一場橄欖之約，雖然今年受氣候影響，橄欖結果少，主­人昨天還是親切邀約好友，他說：「這樣的約會，『意不在果』，而­是分享樹下濃濃的人情。」

程正方的家位在眷村內，因改建住戶陸續搬走，程家房舍雖納入眷村­歷史建築群獲得保留，但再過兩年也得搬遷，未來能否再延續樹下的­約會，主人的情感很掙扎。
