Thermo-Acoustic Engine Prototype 3. To be manufactured by undergraduates in the ME 240 Manufacturing course. Brass piston in standard test tube fueled by denatured alcohol (available in the paint department of your local hardware store). Base, flywheel, flywheel support, burner and other ancillary items still to be modified for final version. BTW, I'm holding it with my hand because the piston has enough mass relative to the rest of the engine that the entire thing tends to walk around a bit.
