Unless you are just trying to test me Jeff, at 18:40 you say there is a sign and the number on that sign is 551-6500 but then you show a picture of the sign and the number on the sign is 544-6500.

While I have no doubt that 551-6500 is/was a number somewhere, (818) 544-6500 is a current number for Walt Disney Imagineering in Glendale.

How's that for paying attention to you ; - )

Another great show, I really enjoy watching you guys!

I would love to have the Nickel Tour book of Disneyland but I don't have it but I did collect Disneyland Postcards ever since I was a small boy when we went to Disneyland!

On my YouTube channel I made a number of Disneyland Postcard Slideshows that show pictures of the postcards from the 1960's and up of Disneyland and one of Walt Disney World!

I go for 10 - 14 days each year. I never used all the credits, and didn't try...except this last year...and I regretted trying to do so. As I said, a few character and signature dines, and you can easily cover the cost.

If you try to use all the credits, you will overplan the trip with ADRs, I completely agree. But, that's up to each visitor, hence why Disney offers different plans!

Deluxe Dining is great.. but not for 18 days straight. By the end of the first week we never wanted to see food again. It was just too much, and table service meals take up so much of your day, especially if you are scheduling three of them. We wound up skipping a lot of meals and using credits for snacks and drinks by the end of the trip.... which meant we were definitely not getting our money's worth. I think the standard plan is much more usable, and you can always buy an extra meal or snack.

Odd, I do Deluxe Dining every year, and find it a fantastic value. Toss in a few character and signature meals, and it easily pays for itself. Then again, I go with just me and the kid. Not a whole family in tow.

We did deluxe dining on the 18 day trip (never doing that again!), so we got to experience a LOT of restaurants, lol. Our favorite for character interaction were Chip and Dale Garden grill, and 1900 Park Fare. The food is good, and the characters really spend a lot of time with you and put in that extra effort. For food/service the best were Artist Point (wilderness lodge.. so good we went twice, the only double up the whole trip), Maya Grill (coronado springs), and Chefs de France (epcot).

Le Cellier is the only restaurant I have trouble getting into. Jikos, if you haven't tried it, is well worth a visit (it's an Animal Kingdom Lodge)...

I did Akershus in 2010, 2011, though I skipped it in 2012 (I go annually)...and I can't tell you what the food used to be like, but I enjoyed it both trips.

Well that is good to know, we did not miss out on much. We did Akershus once on our second trip back in 2004 and the food was so bad we never went back. We are pretty fearless in our cuisine choices too, so it wasn't a matter of it just being strange to us. Maybe they have improved since then? Cinderella's Table was the only restaurant we had trouble getting into, we ate anywhere else we wanted with no problem, even parade/illuminations seating.

That's makes a bit more sense...still odd that with such an extended trip you had trouble. I have found it difficult to get proper "dinner" hours, so we normally go early (around 4 or 5p) or late (8 or 9p).

I also do my ADRs weeks in advance. So, only a week out I can see what it was a challenge. That being said, I actually prefer Akershus, with respect to food, and that one is far easier to get in to.
