I understand the body will tell you if you're hungry due to a nutrient deficiency. It doesn't tell you the nutrient (such as omega 3), but you're just hungry for food... any food that tastes good. Ergo getting the nutrients you need act as a appetite normalizer (lose weight :). I think another example is vitamin D. I'm so excited about the ramifications of the vitimin D hormone, I consider my life in terms of pre and post vitimin D.
