RIP Patrice Lumumba. He was a true African leader, and not a puppet in the hands of the neocolonial powers. Africa needs a champion like Lumumba today. Unfortunately, with the murder of Gaddafi, it has no such leader :(

It seems to me from all of these comments that we are letting the United States off the hook. They played a major part in this atrocity and continue to do so around the world till date. The self-proclaimed free world. So much by giving Tshombe and Mobutu legitimacy over a man elected DEMOCRATICALLY . Perhaps it's time they kept their MTV, CNN, etc. Oh, and their cigs too!
