Here's the thing, if a person was to come up to me with views of world wide peace, environmental sustainability and general love for their fellow human being i wouldn't class them as a hippie, just one of the few smart people in this world. hippie's nowadays (not all obviously) are teenagers using it as an excuse to get as drug fucked as possible, shirk responsibility and don't actually stand for any of the ideals that used to be part of the movement. not a hater, just realistic

@Robafest A lot of hippies in the '60s were kind of the same as you are describing. It's nothing new.

Also: hippies didn't JUST have all those great ideals, they also "got as drug fucked as possible" as you say in such a judgeful way. In fact, a lot of those great ideals came from their experiences with drugs, which opened their minds to see how they could change the world.

@bobcatmonster He wasn't sleeping under a tractor. It was a teenage boy from New Jersey who was covered in trash and crap, and the person driving the tractor didn't see him, and ran him over.

And actually, at least two people did die. That kid and then an overdose.
