where can i get linux yellow dog for FREE I downloaded it but my ps3 said it needed instal software ?

wow i got all kinds of emus on my psp, but didnt knew it was also possible to run on a ps3
but then again using linux is kinda cheating, so does it behave like a very fast pc on linux?
